Ravi Shastri Says that The dew factor will decide whether to play an extra Spinner or a Pace bowler in the T20 World Cup 2021. In the World T20 2021 event, the dew factor will hold the key especially for the teams which bowls second in the match. As we all know that the dew couldn’t allow the bowlers to hold the ball and that is why they cannot bowl in the right areas and lengths to the batsmen.
If the dew is a curse for the bowlers, then for the batsmen it is a blessing in disguise. The job is easily done for the chasing team if the dew arrives, the batsmen can chase down the target quite easily in the end.
India’s head coach Ravi Shastri has said that India will decide their playing XI based on the conditions of Dubai International Stadium. India will be playing five matches on the Dubai ground in the T20 World cup 2021 event. India will make necessary changes to their XI suited to pitch, weather and conditions. They will look at the dew factor as well and decide whether to add an extra spinner or a pace bowler in the T20 World Cup 2021 playing XI f India.
Yesterday India won the warm-up match against England quite handsomely. India would be pleased to see the form of KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan with the bat and Bumrah and Shami with the ball. India chased down the target of 188 runs quite comfortably in the end and the dew factor also came in handy for the Indian batsmen as it made the job much easier for the men in blue.
India will look to chop and change in their second warm-up which will be played tomorrow against Australia and the match starts in the afternoon time at 3.30 PM according to the Indian Standard Time. India would like to have their Dream team on the field when they will face their arch-rivals Pakistan on 24th October, Sunday 2021. Ravi Shastri is on his last stint as an Indian Team’s head coach. He said that the practice matches are to give everyone a chance and to bring the boys in blue in-form with enough game time.
In the T20 World Cup 2021, India will play most of their matches in the evening where the dew factor will play a role and if the dew is more than then it would be difficult for the spin bowlers, and the batsmen will be on ease to chase the target down as we all have seen in the IPL 2021 season where the targets like 180s and 190s were chased successfully by the team batting second.
Shastri also said that the boys have played the PL for almost two months. So they know much about the conditions and the behavior of the pitches in the UAE. Ravi also mentioned that the Indian players have got the game time in the IPL. Now it is more of adapting and getting together for some energy with rhythm going for this all-important event.
