Karan Nair was born on 6th December 1991 in Jodhpur Rajasthan. He is an Indian batsman who is a very fluent stroke maker who relies a lot on touch play, not on sheer or dominant power, and he is an absolute delight to watch when he gets going.
Batting talent in India is always the talk of the town, as they keep on coming one after the other. Though some get lucky in the regard that they get a long run of opportunities to showcase their talent, and some don’t get.
.As far as Karun Nair is concerned, it can be told that he is lil bit unlucky. Despite being so talented, he hasn’t had a lot of opportunities to represent in Indian colours.
There could be multiple reasons for that. One of them would probably be the competition at the international level for the Indian cricket team, so whoever gets the opportunity make sure that they grab it with both hands; otherwise, someone else is sitting out there waiting for his turn.
The actual striking memory connected with the career of Karun Nair is his triple hundred in test cricket. Getting a double hundred in the longest format is an achievement, let alone the triple one. So he is amongst a few people who have achieved this milestone. It was an incredible knock against England. He played that game because of the injury of AjinkyaRahane.
He was a terrific domestic performer, and he got the IPL contract because of those performances. He was first signed by Rajasthan Royals and then into the India A team. At both these places, his talent was shown brightly, and look like it was a matter of time before he would be knocking on the doors of the Indian cricket team.
All that struggle, IPL, and Domestic Cricket performances made way for his international debut. He debuted for India in the 2016 limited-over series against Zimbabwe, where he featured for a couple of matches.
