The 9th match of the IPL was a Contest between 5 times champions Mumbai Indians and inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals.

The Rajasthan Royals are a few of those teams in the IPL who have done well against Mumbai Indians.
They have always played some seriously impressive cricket against them.

Mumbai Indians have won the toss and decided to have a bowl first. The unchanged MI side started their bowling with Jasprit Bumrah.

Probably the idea was to get rid of ex-Mumbai batter Jos Butler who has been devastating in IPL and especially against Mumbai.

The first spell of 2 overs of Bumrah did get a wicket but it was not the wicket of Jos.
He got rid of Jaiswal and gave Mumbai the first breakthrough.

Jos The Boss Annihilated Basil Thampi

In the fourth over of the innings Rohit Sharma handed over the ball to young inexperienced Basil Thampi and he was massacred by the Jos.
He scored 26 runs in that over Scoring 3 massive high sixes and a couple of boundaries.

Jos the Boss stamped his authority in that over and took his team to a flying start for a big score.

Butler’s Marvelous Hundred

It was carnage out there in Mumbai.
Joss butler was at his supreme best.
He singles handedly decimated Every bowler of Mumbai with his immense power and ended up scoring the first hundred of the tournament.
His innings included 11 fours and 5 sixes.

Boom Boom Bumrah

In a match where every it was difficult for every bowler to breathe Infront of the carnage, that was shown by Butler.
In these challenging times, one guy who stood out once again for Mumbai, it was none other than Jasprit Bumrah.
His thrifty bowling spell made sure that Mumbai doesn’t have to chase more than 200 which looked very much possible at one point.
He bowled 24 gold dust deliveries and took three important wickets along with giving away 17 runs

Tilak Verma’s Shining

Tilak Verma who was playing his 2nd game of the IPL already impressed a lot of people from his cameo in the last match which was also his debut match.

He came to bat at No 4 and there was so some sort of responsibility on him chasing this 194, especially in the absence of Surya Kukar Yadav.

He scored a scintillating 61 from 33 balls which included 5 sixes and 3 fours.
His inning helped his test to get closer to this run chase.

Yuzvendra Chahal Denies Mumbai 2 PTS

After getting a rollicking start Mumbai needed 72 off from the last 7 overs and were cruising along pretty well to chase the target.

But it was not the case Yuzvendra Chahal had other plans. In his 1 wicket, he took 2 wickets, and got rid off Tim Dawid and Daniel Sams both, which completely off tracked the chase of Mumbai.

The bowling figures of Yuzvendra Chahal were 4 overs for 26 runs with 2 big wickets.
