Mohammad Nabi Eisakhil is an Afghan cricketer. He was born on 1 January 1985. He is now the present captain of the T20 international team. He is a right-handed batsman. He is an all-rounder and off-break bowler. Mohammad Nabi is the main leading player of the Afghanistan cricket team.
He played a major role in Afghanistan to rise on the top level in cricket. He started playing ODI in April 2009 and started playing test matches in June 2018. He plays as the captain in their first appearance in the 2014 Asia Cup and the 2015 Cricket world cup. Mohammad Nabi is the first player who got selected in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He plays many T20 tournaments. He announced his retirement in September 2019 in Test Cricket to prolong his limited-overs cricket career. Mohammad Nabi Early Life And Career
Nabi was born in Logar Province in Afghanistan but his family moved to Peshawar in Pakistan. They come to Pakistan after the Soviet-Afghan war. His family moved back to Afghanistan in 2000. He started playing cricket at the age of 10. He started playing cricket in Peshawar. He played his first competitive match in 2003 playing for Afghanistan and against the Rahim Yar Cricket association. When he returned to Afghanistan, he started plays with Mohammad Shahzad, Asghar Afghan, and Shapoor Zadran.
They would later become the most important players of the Afghanistan cricket team. In his first competitive match, he scored 61 runs. The team of Afghanistan is very poor but he is the only player who scored a half-century on that match. Bangladesh Premier League
Nabi played in the Bangladesh Premier League for the first time in 2013 for the Sylhet Royals. He was brought into the side to replace injured West Indian all-rounder Andre Russel as the team’s coach Mohammad Salahuddin wanted an offspinner in the team. He performed well for the Royals with both bat and ball, particularly bowling well at the start of innings, and he finished the tournament as the team’s leading wicket-taker with 18 wickets.
Nabi was drafted by the Rangpur Riders for the 2015 edition of the tournament in which he took seven wickets and scored 37 runs. He was then signed for the 2016 tournament by the Chittagong Vikings He had considerable success, taking 19 wickets, the most for Chittagong and the third-most across the whole tournament, and scoring his maiden BPL half-century and career-highest score with 87 not out in a match against the Rajshahi Kings He changed teams to the Comilla Victorians for the 2017 tournament In November 2019, he was selected to play for the Rangpur Rangers in the 2019-20 tournament.
Indian Premier League
In the 2017 IPL auctions, Nabi became the first Afghan player to be sold in the IPL, going to Sunrisers Hyderabad at his base price of 30 lakh. He had been the third player from Afghanistan to go up in the 2017 auction, but the first two both went unsold. He was followed by Afghan teammate Rashid Khan, who also went to Hyderabad. Nabi only played three matches in the 2017 tournament. In January 2018, Nabi was again bought by the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2018 IPL auctions, this time for 1 crore but he still only played two matches.
Nabi played for the Melbourne renegades in the 2017-18 and 2018-19 tournaments. In December 2018 he hit the winning runs against the defending champions Adelaide Strikers after a 94 run unbeaten partnership with Dan Christain In July 2020, he was named in the St Lucia Zouks squad for the 2020 Caribbean Premier league On 27 August 2020, in the match against the St kits, Nabi took his first wicket haul in a T20 match.
Nabi played for the Afghan Cheetahs team which competed in the Faysal Bank T20 Cup in Pakistan in 2011-12. In 2013, Nabi turned up for the Bangladesh Premier League side Sylhet Royals and helped his team reach the semi-finals with some splendid performances.
