Mohammed Shami is a professional Indian Cricketer who represents Indian International Cricket Team. Mohammad has participated in all cricket formats so far. He is a right-arm fast bowler.

Shami Mohammad bowled four maiden overs during his One Day International (ODI) debut against Pakistan in January 2013. He made his Test debut against West Indies in November 2013 and took five wickets. Mohammad Shami contracted with the Board of Cricket Control in India (BBCI). He has the second-highest grade of contract, an A grade central contract.

Shami played during the 2012/2013 Ranji Trophy season against Madhya Pradesh in November in the first inning, against Hyderabad at Eden Gardens in December, and in the five matches of that season. He took 28 wickets at a bowling average of 21.25 runs per wicket.

In 18 First-class matches since his debut in 2013, Mohammad Shami took 71 Wickets at an average of four wickets each match.

Shami Mohammad joined Kings XI Punjab[f] in the 2019 player auction for 4.8 Crores and played against Mumbai Indians. Shami was ranked the best wicket-taker of the season. He played against Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians that season and eventually he made Punjab win into a second super over making him be celebrated.

In the 2021 season, Shami Mohammad participated in 14 matches for Punjab. He showed impressive results which made him the leading Wicket-taker for the third straight season and the fifth-highest wicket-taker in that year’s competition. Shami became the fourth franchise bowler to take 50 Wicket for Punjab since.

Shami was released by Punjab ahead of the 2022 IPL season where he was hired by the Gujarat Titans for 6.25 Crores.
