Shahbaz Ahmed Mewati (born December 12, 1994) is an Indian cricketer representing Bengal in local matches and the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL (IPL). He bats left-handed and bowls all-round. On September 20, 2018, Shahbaz made his List A debut for Bengal in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy against the Jammu and Kashmir squad in Chennai. In his first match, he had figures of 1/22. He scored 27 runs and took one wicket in his first first-class match against Hyderabad.

On February 24 2019, he made his Twenty20 debut for Bengal against Haryana at Cuttack in the 2018–19 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, picking up one wicket and delivering a crucial 12-ball 17 in the lower order that helped his team win by three wickets. Shahbaz has played 13 first-class matches, hitting 559 runs (four half-centuries) and collecting 37 first-class wickets at a 2.60 economy rate. He has 435 runs in 16 innings at an average of 39.54 in List-A cricket. With top statistics of 3/35, he has 18 List-A wickets to his name. In T20 cricket, he has 21 wickets at an economy rate of 6.84 and one fifty to his name in 23 innings. 

He became the seventh player from Bengal to capture a Ranji Trophy hat-trick in January 2021 against Hyderabad and the first since India pacer Mohammed Shami. He was picked to India A’s team for the 2019–20 Deodhar Trophy in October 2019. Shahbaz made his domestic cricket debut for the Bengal cricket team on September 20, 2018, and his Indian Premier League debut for Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2020.

He is now playing domestic cricket for the Bengal squad and IPL cricket for the Royal Challengers Bangalore as of 2022. He collected a handful of wickets in as many games as he participated this season, having an economy rate of 7.33. Shahbaz grabbed three wickets in one over against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the sixth match of the Indian Premier League in April 2021, which his team finally won. Many critics praised him for his performances. He took a brace for ten runs against Rajasthan in the tournament’s second phase.
