In Oman and the United Arab Emirates, the main event will be held on the same day (UAE). Notably, the finals of the event will be held in the United Arab Emirates on November 14, 2021.
In the past, it had been planned to start in India. To maintain control over the COVID-19 issue, the focus has moved to the United Arab Emirates and Oman. When it comes to the 2017 T20 World Cup, the reigning champions West Indies will be heavy favourites to take home the trophy once again.
Group 1 of the competition, which has been dubbed “Group Of Death” due to the number of damaging teams that have been drawn into it, has been assigned to Team West Indies. Western Hemisphere countries are represented by Group 1, which includes the United States, Australia, and England, as well as South Africa. The matches in this group, in particular, are anticipated to be nail-biting and fascinating confrontations, which is noteworthy. The West Indies, the defending champions, are set to demonstrate their dominance in the shorter version of the game once again this summer.
Teams from the West Indies are stacked with T20 specialists, including Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Shimron Hetmyer, Andre Russell, Dwayne Bravo, and Evin Lewis, among others. West Indies T20 World Cup Squad has power hitters like Chris Gayle, Nicholas Pooran, Kieron Pollard, Shimron Hetmyer, and Andre Russell how Can Change the game at any time. Their bowling unit, on the other hand, is improving all of the time.
In past years, the West Indies did not put in particularly strong performances. However, as the World Cup draws closer, they have regained their former glory and are once again establishing themselves as a dominating force under Kieron Pollard’s leadership.
While this is going on, West Indies T20 World Cup Squad has been the most successful side in the Twenty20 World Cups. Because they have already won two trophies. The first came in 2012 when they defeated Sri Lanka by 36 runs, and the second came in 2016 when they defeated England by 4 wickets. They will open their campaign against their most formidable opponent, the England national cricket team, to capture their third championship.

Ravi Rampaul is back After 5years in West Indies Squad
The defending World Cup champion Ravi Rampaul has been called up by the West Indies for the first time in six years as the squad prepares for the Twenty20 World Cup, which will be contested in the United Arab Emirates and Oman in October and November. Rampaul has been with the team for the last six years.
A part of the 2012 World Cup-winning squad, Rampaul last appeared in a Twenty20 match against Sri Lanka in 2015. He returns to the side to strengthen what seems to be a strong roster that will attempt to win an unprecedented third World Cup in a row for a single country.
“Rampaul is a very accomplished bowler… In the power play and the middle part of the innings, he will improve the team’s wicket-taking possibilities, and he will offer another option in the Last death overs,” said Cricket West Indies head selector Roger Harper.
Roston Chase, an all-rounder, was selected for his first-ever call-up to the T20 squad.
“Roston Chase has shown that he is a very talented Twenty20 player. He has demonstrated the ability to knit innings together while still scoring at a rapid pace with a low dot-ball percentage in the Caribbean Premier League in 2020, and he has been excellent so far in the Caribbean Premier League in 2021,” says the coach of the Caribbean Premier League in 2020. He will provide a great counterpoint to the team’s more dynamic players.”
The West Indies, who are in Group 1 with Australia and South Africa, will play England in their first match of the tournament on Oct. 23 in Dubai, where they will face off against the hosts.
Jason Holder has been added to the roster as a reserve, while Sunil Narine has been left off
Because of this, the Caribbean will likely have a strong starting lineup. Despite the event taking place in Oman and the UAE, the selectors have only chosen one specialist spinner in Hayden Walsh Jr. Ravi Rampaul, Oshane Thomas, and Obed McCoy will form a foursome among the pacers. Jason Holder, formerly of the Caribbean, has not been selected to the team but is one of four backup players who will go with them.
Three more players have been designated reserves in addition to Bravo: Sheldon Cottrell, and Akeal Hosein. Speaking of noteworthy omissions, speedster Alzarri Joseph was passed up in favour of Sunil Narine. As a result, the competition’s top selector has given this squad his blessing.
Dinesh Karthik picks India and West Indies as his finalists
India and the West Indies have been selected as finalists for the men’s West Indies T20 World Cup Squad, which will be held in the United Arab Emirates and Oman between October and November. According to him, West Indies is his second favourite team, after India, because of the entertaining cricket they play.
“Rather than predict who will win, I’ll just say this: it would be fantastic if India and West Indies faced off in the World Cup final. Just because they play cricket with such flair, the West Indies are unquestionably my second favourite team after India. I believe they like this format, and it brings out the best in them, and I would love to see the West Indies go to the finals of this tournament.
The outcome of the final would depend on their opponents on the day in question, but for the time being, I would like an India-West Indies final, since these are my two favourite teams at this stage of the T20 World Cup “In an ICC Digital Show, Karthik shared his thoughts.
Captain and head coach of the West Indies
Being such a strong team, the West Indies has players who always give their all and never misses an opportunity to break the hearts of their supporters. However, as we all know, everyone has their ups and downs. The team was one of the best at the beginning of this match but in the middle, they were finishing as runner-up, but now they appear to be back on track, which is very exciting. In this squad, Kieron Pollard serves as the leader and captain.
“We are looking forward to beginning the defence of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup championship later this year,” he adds of the match. “We have a very intriguing Super 12 group, in which we will be competing against Australia, England, and South Africa,” he said. “We can’t wait to get things going!”
Coach; Although the West Indies T20 World Cup Squad has not released a list of its coaches and has not made the identity of one of the public, rumours indicate that it is a well-known and renowned figure who helps the squad in all situations.
